Public-information snapshots

A free website snapshot is a limited review of information that is publicly available on the internet. It is not a penetration test, a guarantee that a website is secure, or a complete assessment of a business's systems.

Authorised security work

Any testing beyond public information requires a separate written agreement that defines the scope, systems, timing, rules of engagement, contacts and permission to proceed. StopTheHack Labs will not attempt to access accounts, bypass controls, exploit a weakness or alter a system without this written authorisation.

Subscriptions and fees

Subscription services are billed monthly in advance unless an agreed service order says otherwise. You may cancel before the next billing date. Any work outside a subscription, including remediation or a one-off assessment, will be quoted and agreed separately before it begins.

Your responsibilities

You confirm that you own or are authorised to request assessment of the domains and systems you provide. You remain responsible for business decisions, backups, insurance, access controls and applying agreed fixes.

Important limitations

Cyber security reduces risk; it cannot eliminate it. Guidance and monitoring do not guarantee that an attack, breach, fraud or service interruption will not occur. The detailed terms, liability limits and service scope for paid work will be set out in the applicable service agreement.

Before launch

These introductory website terms must be replaced or reviewed by a qualified UK solicitor before the business accepts paid customers. Add the legal entity name, registration details, governing law and complete contractual terms.
